The Bevy Bag

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo The Bevy Bag Link to website or photo What are you most proud of? I LOVE how Brenda put the side pockets on. It's a great technique. The pattern is very easy to follow - she does an amazing job keeping the directions basic and the drawings helpful. It's one of the few patterns I've used to teach a class that I haven't had to supplement with additional handouts. This was also my first attempt at the twist locks - love them. I bought them online at Purse Supply Depot. They don't come with directions, though. My JoAnn Fabrics has them - but they are slightly different and look a little more complicated to put on. What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's not a beginner project, but I don't think that it's that difficult. I would also attach the strap to the back of the bag. After I made the green bag and used it, I ripped off the strap and attached it to the back. This seems to support the weight of the contents better - it doesn't sag in the middle of the bag anymore.
