Flannel Patchwork Skirt

What are you most proud of? The fact that all my items are made with upcycled/recycled materials. :) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Serger is quick and easy, but a regular sewing machine would work just fine on this pattern too. Have fun! :)

Q&A with RecycledGrace

Me Clothing asked:
Could i use an old skirt to give me the basic shape and a jersey material to make the belt as i've old jersey jumpers?
RecycledGrace answered:
you could use an old skirt as a pattern. I just searched online and found a 6-gore skirt pattern that was easy to make myself. I use it all the time. You could also use jersey for the waist, but you will want to make sure it is stretchy enough. Some jersey is not very stretchy. Have fun! :)
