Feed Bag Totes

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Project Pattern Link to website or photo dillydollop.blogspot.com/2010/08/chicken-feed-grocery-bag.html What are you most proud of? I am very happy raising my backyard chickens. I started out bringing home 5 newly hatched chicks from a friends farm, then I ordered 16 day-old chicks in the mail, and now I've hatched chicks from eggs. This hobby has been very rewarding and now I am able to sell farm fresh eggs to people in my area!!! What advice would you give someone starting this project? I do not own a serger. The most difficult part of this project is sewing down the flaps of the bottom of the bag. If you don't want to sew them, you can use Duct Tape. All of my seams are double sewn for extra strength.

What you will need

  • I take empty poly-woven feed bags and re-purpose them into tote bags.
