This pattern comes in girl's sizes 1/2 to 14. The Rose Ruffle knit top comes with two sleeve lengths, mid or long sleeves. Perfect for layering with dresses, adding HTV/appliques or everyday wear. Quick and easy to put together, this will quickly become a staple in your daughter's wardrobe. Hem the ruffle, leave it raw, add a rolled hem or lace. Even add a double ruffle or triple ruffle for more frills. Easy and simple to change up. Again, if you have already purchased the Rose, you will not need to re-purchase. The Rose now includes layers and our new tutorial format. Measurements for ruffles and neckband are given in the tutorial. The computer digitized, layered, color coded, 'no trim' pages are QUICK to put together! Detailed, precise instructions with full color photos to teach and guide you along the way are perfect for beginners. Yardage requirements, tips, tricks and more are included! You will need Adobe Reader on your computer to open the PDF files.

Recommended with this pattern

  • *Fabric: Any light to medium weight knit: cotton jersey, cotton interlock, etc for the top. Fabric for the neckband needs to be something with really great recovery; meaning it has a lot of stretch, but it bounces back to shape quickly after pulling. Ribbing or a cotton lycra will work best.
  • *1/2" hem tape highly suggested *Ball point, stretch, or jersey needle *I love using my serger and cover stitch for all knit construction. If you don't have a serger, suitable stitches are: zig zag or overlock. (Remember no back stitching when using an overlock!) When using a straight stitch, increase length to allow for stretch. * Knits do not need to be finished even if you are using a standard sewing machine. They do not fray! Yay, quick sew! *Remember the stretch of the fabric always goes around the body.
  • *Basics: thread, scissors, ruler, rotary cutter, hem gauge.
