PATTERN DETAILS

Wondering what you can make with fat quarters or left over scraps you love so much? Here is a project that will fit that bill! This popular sewing pattern contains detailed sewing instructions suitable for use by seamstresses ages 9 and older. Written by a sewing teacher who specializes in teaching kids to sew, this pattern is great for seamstresses who have proficient sewing skills and appeals to grown-ups too! The students have asked, now we are delivering the pattern. Very popular among the age 9 and up set, it's the perfect size for their needs at this age. Holds money, gift cards, lip gloss, keys, etc.. as it's spacious enough but not cumbersome in size. Looks cool too! All stays secure with the zipper enclosure. Front pocket holds the cell phone for easy storage and reach. We call this a "dare-devil" level project because it's a test of patience (takes several hours to finish), requires the seamstress to sew straight lines, respect various seam allowances, and work with multiple pattern pieces. It's a labor of love - but well worth the time invested. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Proficient sewing skills & patience SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 9" tall x 8" wide x 2" deep

Recommended with this pattern

  • 4 coordinating fabrics - 1/4 yd each or fat quarters
  • 1 cotton fabric for lining - 1/4 yard or 1 fat quarter
  • 1 - 44" strip of fabric 2.5" wide for strap

Hi, My name is Karen and I teach kids to sew. My in-home sewing school is a busy one filled with adorable children of all ages and abilitites. One never tires of the smiles and joy experienced when a student finishes a project they sewed on their own. Such a rewarding job! One challenge I face is finding patterns written in lingo kids can follow. So, I developed Little Stitchers' Pattern Co. to solve our problem. When I'm not teaching, I'm designing and writing patterns we can use in class. They are loaded with color photographs, detailed step-by-step instructions and pattern pieces. Each pattern is kid-tested and stamp approved. Thanks for continuing to read this & hope you enjoy our patterns!
