step-down piecing in lavender and plum

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I love the play of colour in this project, especially the pops of cerise (the deep, rich plum). What advice would you give someone starting this project? The piecing looks a little mind-boggling, simply because it isn't following the usual grid of patchwork, but it's much easier than it appears. Sarah's instructions are excellent.

What you will need

  • I used quilting cottons from my stash: a few Tula Pink Parisville prints
  • one of Sarah Fielke's From Little Things prints
  • some Anna Maria Horner Innocent Crush and a light purple geometric that I think was Robert Kaufman. The plum and lavdender solids are Kona.
