Q&A with Abbyvb

Deanier asked:
This is gorgeous, will there be a pattern coming out for this? If so, I have to get my hands on it.
Abbyvb answered:
Thank you! I created my own pattern based on the cover photo and techniques I learned in RaNae Merrill's book Simply Amazing Spiral Quilts. There is no pattern.
kekinc2636506 asked:
Is there a pattern for Rainbow Vortex
Abbyvb answered:
I created my own pattern based on the cover photo and techniques I learned in RaNae Merrill's book Simply Amazing Spiral Quilts. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=simply+amazing+spiral+quilts
Eklectika Ann asked:
Stunning! Did you dye your own fabrics perchance? ***smiles***
Abbyvb answered:
No. I used mostly batiks. I should invest in learning the process, though, because I sure love the look of hand-dyed fabric!
Eklectika Ann asked:
Batiks? They make me drool! LOL Well, lovely work regardless of YOU hand dyeing it or not. I loves me some COLOR! Oh, or could you tell? ***smiles***
Abbyvb answered:
Thank you!
