Project

Piano Sonata

Project Description

What are you most proud of? There are some small pieces in this pattern. I had to keep them small so the piano wouldnt look too boxy. I also minimized the amount of lining up I had to do when I sew sections together. I am happy with the final block. Blogged @ http://www.whimsandfancies.com/piano-paper-piecing/ What advice would you give someone starting this project? For the best result, take some time while making this block.

I think using all solids was very helpful, I was able to pick out shades that are very close to each other. Thank you so much :)

Absolutely astonishing! I love the way you've used blacks and greys to give perspective and shape. I was almost speechless when I first saw it and couldn't believe it was quilted!
soma1773 answered:
I saw the grays at the quilt store, and thought that would be prefect for shading. Thank you so much :)
