Q&A with Pie

K Lee 2Strings asked:
The quilting on each of these blocks is just so nice! Can't wait to see the whole quilt!
Pie answered:
Thank you! I am hoping to get to that soon. This has been such a fun class.
Karen Ruehling asked:
Do you have your quilt blocks sewn together already or are you quilting them as you go along?
Pie answered:
I haven't sewn them together yet. I made the batting and backing 15 x 15 and then will determine how to trim them after I decide what order to put them in.
Karen Ruehling asked:
Oops - I have another question. Do you quilt on your regular sewing machine or a long arm? I just finished taking the quilting on a home machine class so am interested in the quilting part of it. Thanks.
Pie answered:
I'm using a regular sewing machine; that's why I'm doing block by block. I find FMQing difficult on big quilts, I thought that doing block by block would help me build my skills and it has. Good luck!
gmhnQuilts asked:
These are amazing! GORGEOUS! Are you quilting as you go?
Pie answered:
Thanks so much! I am. I found working with an entire quilt frustrating so I am quilting each block separately. So much easier. I'll put sashing between them to join the blocks.
Pamillia asked:
Your blocks are Wonderful. I really like how each one is quilted to accentuate the block. Well done. Your blocks are Beautiful, I like just looking at them. Great fabric & color choices. Thank you for sharing. Yes, you are right, this has been a really good class & everyone in it & sharing with everyone. Terrific.
Pie answered:
Thank you.
