I was asked about doing a similar quilt pattern for someone. I thought the pattern was an excellent opportunity to use a Jelly Roll. I happen to love the traditional colors in this one. Although simple in appearance, it has been received very well. I have already had a number of offers to purchase my quilt. I never do though, so I have them for shows. This pattern shows two differnet layout options. 62" x 86" or 75" x 75" Jelly Roll is a registered trademark of Moda Fabrics. Fabrics used: Jelly Roll and Red Border - Collections for a Cause - "Warmth" by Howard Marcus for Moda Navy Stars, borders and binding - "Old Glory Gatherings" by Primitive Gatherings for Moda Background for stars and 2nd border - Classic Cottons BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Good Piecing skills and basic applique skills SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 62" x 86" or 75" x 75"

Thanks! ___________________________________________ Welcome to Pure Joy Patterns (Pure Joy Designs). That’s me, Sharon McCurdy, in the photo. I have been creating patterns for a long time, though not as a business. Years ago, I would make clothing using my own designs. Back in those days, I did a lot of machine appliqué, which I still love today. But when I was introduced to quilting, my world changed. I found myself creating patterns and samples for the quilt shop where I was working. That’s when my love of designing and writing (I wrote software manuals as a technical writer), finally came together…and the rest, I guess you could say, is history. Everyone always asks where I came up with the name “Pure Joy Designs”. Well, my mother's name was Joye. Years ago, my sister and her husband (owners of Wire Works Custom Jewelry) made Mom a necklace that read “100% Pure Joye”. I always loved the necklace and decided to use the concept as my company name. Additionally, Pure Joy is a daily reminder of Mom, who passed away in 2007. Wholesale inquires welcome.
