PATTERN DETAILS

Four individual hearts fit together like a puzzle to form a scalloped centerpiece for your table, or pull apart as placemats. Each heart is bound separately and stands on its own as a placemat. New York Beautys combine with easy Log Cabin Blocks for this unique and clever project. Spiked sections are foundation pieced. You will love this! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY You should be comfortable sewing a 1/4" seam, and have basic patchwork skills including foundation piecing, and sewing a very gentle curved seam. Sew Karen-ly Created...
Growing up in the Canadian Maritimes, I was surrounded by quilts from an early age. My grandmother was particularly talented and taught quilting locally. I learned from her and have made quilting my life's work. Since 1989, I have published well over 300 quilting patterns in magazines, contributed designs to 16 different books, and am author of two books: Quilting Beauties (AQS), and Canadian Heritage Quilting.
