What materials did you use? Cotton You can find the pattern here:

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I pieced and quilted this quilt on my home sewing machine. Most of the quilting is done with a walking foot and stitching in the ditch which is fairly easy for a beginner quilter. I also did a little meandering/stippling in some of the blocks. Just enough to test the waters of free motion quilting. I am hooked!

Great job on this beautiful quilt. Did you make it for someone special?

Did you use two different reds for the red stripes as the pattern shows or did you just use one red? Thanks.

Jody, did you use 2 reds in the stripes like the pattern shows or did you just use 1 red for the whole stripe? Beautiful quilt!

I would like to have this pattern to make the quilt of valor. My brother-in-law is a Vietnam veteran with agent orange cancer. He would appreciate this so much
