Walking in the Park

Project Description

What was your source for this knitting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Reminiscence Link to website or photo lilygo.blogspot.com/p/download-patterns.html What are you most proud of? That I did it at all! I mostly crochet - I haven't knit anything in over a decade, and I've never knit lace with yarnovers & tied stitches. I wanted it big, so I did 40 repeats of the pattern, & can wrap it around me without having to stick a pin in it. Also, that I didn't run out of yarn! The pattern says 803 yards at 40 repeats, but I ended up using 870 - I had only 8 feet of yarn left after I bound off! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't be afraid! It was way easier than it looked in the pattern. It's worked from the bottom up, so there's a big cast on & the first section seems like it won't ever end, but the last 2 sections just fly by! And Stitch Markers are your friend!

What you will need

  • The yarn is WEBS Valley Yarns Charlemont Kettle Dyed in Dark Olive.
