About me: I am a designer and tutor living in County Dublin with my partner and two sons. I own The Knitting Class, and specialize in teaching knitting classes, courses, workshops and knitting retreats to both adults and children. The focus of The Knitting Class experience is on technique, skill, style and enjoyment for all. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and seeing my clients experience the joy of learning new skills and creating hand knits for themselves and to give as gifts. I teach weekly knitting classes and workshops at Winnie’s Craft Cafe in Booterstown, Co text I have facilitated workshops for special events, tour groups and knitting groups including The Ark, in Temple Bar, Dublin, Airfield Farm, Dundrum, Co Dublin and Abbey Tours, Dublin. I also design hand knits and write patterns for hand knitting which I really find drives my creative side and compliments classes and workshops. My first pattern ‘OisinOwl’ became a best seller on the day that it was published, which was very exciting. I have also been published by Knit magazine in the UK. This represents a career change for me as I previously formulated skincare products and toiletries as Company Chemist for Nectar Cosmetics and as an award winning entrepreneur when I created ‘Irish Rain’ eau de parfum and launched L’aura Ireland Ltd. My design influences are many. I find nature, landscape, seascape, art, fashion history, folklore and myth all sources of inspiration. Contact me at if you have a group coming to Dublin and would like to organize a facilitated knitting evening or special workshop. please follow The Knitting Class on Facebook and please add me to your LinkedIn network link text
