This knitting pattern is for two fun and simple ridge knit scarf designs. The pattern is the same for both pictured scarves but they are knit on different size needles and with different yarn weights. The mint green one has ruffled ends. Each scarf requires only 1 skein of yarn. The mint green scarf is made with a cotton yarn on US 10.5 needles and measures approx. 50 inches long by 4 inches wide. The blue scarf is knit with a bulky weight yarn on US size 17 needles and measures approx. 66 inches long by 5 inches wide. This scarf pattern is a lacy openwork design and is a great lightweight scarf when knit in cotton and a nice warm winter scarf when knit in the bulky yarn. Both scarves knit up very quickly - great for a last minute gift. You will need basic knitting skills to complete the scarf. The pattern uses the knit stitch, purl stitch, yarn overs and knitting through back loops. This as an easy pattern if you are familiar with these stitches. Detailed instructions are given for both scarves in the one pattern. The pattern is a PDF file, you will need Adobe to read the downloaded file.
