Ennis is a versatile tubular scarf/cowl/neck wrap that can be worn multiple different ways. In addition, there are buttonholes, tabs and button placements that can adjust the scarf for a whole new look each time you wear it. A simple, fun knit that's equally fun to wear! I consider this a 'ripped from the runways' piece meant for knitters -- all the major designers are featuring similar scarf shapes, but you'll have a lot of fun knitting it as well! This would be stunning in handspun and/or hand-dyed yarn -- be sure to find some big bold buttons to go with it! If substituting yarn, you will need ca. 250 yd/225m of a similar aran-weight yarn. For handspinners - this pattern would be absolutely lovely with your own yarn - you'll want approximately 8 WPI. However, this pattern will very easily adapt to just about any yarn weight you'd like to use. GAUGE Approximately 4 sts and 6 rows = 2.5cm/1" in stockinette - however, exact gauge is not critical. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 12" high, 20" wide (30x50cm) main body (not counting optional tab piece)
