The knitting on this pattern for Christmas ornaments is very simple, and quick. Using two needles, and oddments of wool, it is what a call one of my stash-busters (a fun way to use up your leftovers, and produce something pretty). There are three sizes of heart, as I guess Christmas trees come in different sizes too. The fun comes with the decorating. On some of mine I have embroidered, and within the pattern I tell you how to find some embroidery tips on my blog. I have also included some simple fair isle charts, if you want to make your heart fancy in this way. And at the back of the pattern are some blank heart charts, if you want to have a go at inventing your own fair isle design. I would really recommend it, as this is great fun, and the options are endless. Or there are other suggestions: beads, sequins, buttons ..... However you decide to make you Christmas Love, I hope you enjoy this pattern, and make your house look lovely. I have a few blue sparkly Christmas Hearts for sale in my Etsy shop. The inspiration for my knitting patterns often comes from nature. I love little knitting projects, and try my hardest to be realistic with my plant and animal designs. Often my projects start from something very personal: my own house or my husband's first car. Then I develop them into something that I think will be appealing. I live on the outskirts of London, and work part-time at a local school. My own children are always doing something creative. At school I love the days when we get really messy.
