Wedding hair piece

Project Description

Who is this project for? Women What are you most proud of? I did it without a pattern! I made the roses out of organza. I purchased amethysts, and pearls and crystals and sterling silver wire and a 2 inch comb. Then I just started stringing beads and twisting wire. I am so glad I took this class, otherwise we would have had to purchase the hair piece from the bridal shop. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Buy the roses if you can find them. I looked everywhere online and in stores and if they said they had organza roses, they were the wrong color, or out of stock... I wanted to incorporate her birthstone into the hair piece, and I thought if I added them to the sprigs they would get lost since they are so tiny. You can't see them very well against the black background, but trust me, they are so pretty! I tend to obsess about things like this, and having no pattern just makes it worse. I would appreciate honest critiques, letting me know if it's worthy of a wedding day. Thanks in advance. : )

Q&A with Heather Greene

Aga Kruk asked:
Very pretty Heather! I love the twisted wire and the small crystals and pearls at the ends. She will look beautiful wearing it! A
Heather Greene answered:
You are kind Aga. : ) I took better pictures so you can see the amethysts better. The pearls are a little wobbly. What would you suggest I use to hold them in place? A tidge of super glue, or is there something better?
