Project

metal name tag thingies

Who is this project for? Other What are you most proud of? That I was able to round the sharp edges off the bottoms with the dremel- Also while they are not perfect I think they will like them and I am proud of the fact that I finished them! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time and take breaks, dont get upset if you screw one or two up-Its going to happen no matter how careful you are. Have fun with it and be creative- you can add this charm/nametag thingie to just about anything- a necklace, a pin, let your imagination figure something out. As I was making something for eight people and have a time limit, I wanted to keep it simple-given more time I think I would of embelished them more-with beads :)

You Can Make This

Q&A with ARGrover

iluvcanada asked:
I like the idea. You did a great job. I have never tried stamping letters on metal. Was it difficult to keep the letters lined up.
ARGrover answered:
It was not as easy as I thought it was going to be! :) I also recommend using a clamp on your steel base because it jumps around a little bit or did on me..
honeybee design asked:
thoughtful idea and they look fun. like you said everybody likes things with their name and unique names are hard to find on things pre-printed.
ARGrover answered:
The best thing about it was how easy it was. The hardest thing about it was sanding off the ends and getting the letters straight :)
