Q&A with Shirl I

s. bernacki asked:
Hello Shirley, Your graph pattern is very pretty. You can use graph patterns for so many different crafts. Beads, knit, crochet, hook rug, cross stitch, needlepoint. And the really nice thing about it is with each craft the pattern takes on a unique look. Thank you for sharing.
Shirl I answered:
thank you for your lovely comment - hope you enjoy it if you make the pattern.
mscyndi asked:
I am anxious to make this braclet. I think my granddaughter will love it for Christmas thank you so much for sharing. It is a beautiful design.
Shirl I answered:
I'm so pleased you like this pattern - hope your granddaughter enjoyes wearing it. Kind regards.
Yod asked:
I have messed around with peyote stitch before, although I never finished a project, just wanted to learn the weave. Your grid system is ingenious.
Shirl I answered:
Thanks so much, but in fact it is 'old fashioned'! :) I much prefer it to the newer pattern of charts showing the beadshapes. I think the grid is much easier to follow Kind regards and hope you enjoy your beadwork.
Keith Pearson asked:
Shirley, do you use a software program to create the patterns? I still draw patterns by hand on graph paper and a more professional looking pattern would be desirable. I like this pattern.
Shirl I answered:
Hi Keith: I usually use Powerpoint but have an old prog.called Stitchpainter for the charts. Stitchpainter is not fantastic, but it 'does' :). Let me know if you want any more info. Kind regards, Shirley I.
