How it works

  • This pattern was designed by a Craftsy independent design partner!
  • You'll purchase through PayPal and all profits go to the designer.
  • After purchase find your pattern in your pattern library.

This is a quick and easy filet scarf, which takes about 4 hours to make once you get the pattern established. It's worked in one piece, using mainly double crochet & chain stitches, and uses one ball of yarn, which makes this ideal for gift giving! You can adjust the length to your personal preferences. This scarf was inspired by some doodling on a piece of paper! There is a diamond within a diamond shape at the beginning and end of the scarf, and a simple diamond or X shape in the middle. Repeating the X as many times as you desired will change the finished size of the scarf. The pattern is very intuitive once you get going, making it ideal for a first filet project. Pattern includes written directions, and a little chart. Most of my testers found that the chart was easier to follow once you got the feel for the pattern. Thank you to knoturgrannie, teril9898, kaz, recurlysue, and bjclark63 for testing the pattern, and an extra special thank you to bjclark63 for coming up with the name! Feel free to make as many of these as you like for local craft fairs/auctions/raffles/bazaars, but please do not sell finished items online. . Anastacia Knits Designs
My name is Anastacia, and I am the scrap yarn/one skein queen. I buy my yarn mainly at yard sales/thrift stores, so I got used to making do with what I could find. So most of my patterns are designed to use up the odd skeins or leftovers in your life, and are geared towards beginner crocheters or those who just want a fast, easy, but still pretty item. I'm a 30 something adult living in MA. I’m married, have a wonderful cat named Wedgie, & I work full time. I also teach knitting & crocheting at my local Michael's & squeeze in designing as many hours as I can a week. I do love to hear from everyone, but please remember that I am busy, just like you, & will reply as soon as I can. All of my patterns use USA terms & abbreviations. I try to layout my patterns as simply as possible to save money for people printing at home. My patterns are as short as possible, usually with only one photo on the first page, which you can easily skip printing to save ink. .
