PATTERN DETAILS

Here's a lovely listing for a crochet pattern of a big blue fish! Make the fish as a toy for your kids, or use it to decorate your house with. It's very suitable to use in a marine or nautical home deco theme. When you make the fish with a 2.5mm crochet needle and sock wool (like I did in the pictures), the fish will be 4 inches / 10 centimeters long, and 3 inches / 7.5 centimeters high and wide. When you make the fish with a 4mm crochet needle and light worsted weight yarn, it will become almost 12 inches / 30 centimeters long and 9 inches / 22.5 centimeters high and wide; that's a pretty big amigurumi fish, full of omega 3 haha! Needed materials to make this item: - crochet hook, size 2,5mm / D / 11 - yarn type: sock yarn - yarn colours: blue, black - tapestry/sewing needle - fiberfill Needed skills to make this item: - magic ring - chain stitches - slip stitches - single crochet - increasing and decreasing - basic sewing skills Overall skill level: advanced beginner. The pattern is written in US crochet terminology and is available in English. The pattern description is written using abbreviations; there's an extensive list included to explain all abbreviations used. There are also a lot of detailed pictures included to guide you through the pattern. After you've completed your purchase, you can download the pattern in the language you require. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Needed skills to crochet this pattern: - magic ring - chain stitches - slip stitches (UK: single crochet) - single crochets (UK: double crochet) - increasing and decreasing stitches - sewing skill level required: easy. (Just to stitch the fins and the eyes onto the body of the fish) And that's it! SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS When you make the fish with a 2.5mm crochet needle and sock wool (like I did in the pictures), the fish will be 4 inches / 10 centimeters long, and 3 inches / 7.5 centimeters high and wide. When you make the fish with a 4mm crochet needle and light worsted weight yarn, it will become almost 12 inches / 30 centimeters long and 9 inches / 22.5 centimeters high and wide; that's a pretty big amigurumi fish, full of omega 3 haha! COLORWAY To make this fish with multicolour sock wool really rocks! ^^

Recommended with this pattern

  • You don't need a lot of yarn to crochet this fish, it can be made from left overs. Also, you only need a little bit of filling material and a 2.5mm crochet needle.
