Little kids are just soo cute with this cardigan, looking like little elves with a super long hood ! I designed this for my daughters, inspired by a hooded jacket and my obsession for all things granny-square. Granny squares provide the shaping on the hood and around the hips. It also means that working this cardigan is never boring, and you can play with all sorts of color combinations ! The pattern contains detailed instructions along with many step-by-step photos. Instructions are also included to make this jacket without the hood. Permission to sell your finished items. :-) BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY You'll need to know the basic crochet stitches: how to chain, single-crochet and double-crochet. Any other skill you may need will be explained in the pattern. GAUGE 14 dcfl and 7,25 rows = 10 cm / 4" in double crochet in front loop SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 2T/3T (4, 6, 8 year old) Cardigan measures approx. 62 (64, 67, 69) cm around chest and is designed to be worn fitted.

Bonjour! I'm Sylvie Damey, french designer living in the french Alps. I learned to knit as a child, but taught myself to crochet a few years after my first daughter was born and I had started making things for her... Soon crochet completely took over knitting; crochet is so liberating and enpowering. I love to crochet clothes for my daughters or myself, always focusing on what I'd love to wear on a daily basis ... and what makes me happy ! :-) I'm a visual learner, so you'll find that I always add several in-progress pictures to my patterns so you always know what you're meant to do next.
