I'm Melanie Rice, a freelance designer living in Texas, with lots of pets and lots of yarn…. I would describe my style as classic, with clean lines, smooth edges, and minimal fuss. My design goals include: ~ creating useful / wearable designs that are simple without being boring, ~ providing adaptability in the designs whenever possible, ~ writing patterns that are concise and clear with an uncluttered layout, ~ including affordable yarns when knitting my samples, and giving acknowledgement to stitch pattern sources as applicable. I am fortunate to have patterns featured in Interweave Knits Magazine, LoveKnitting’s Winter Catalogs and monthly Top 10 Pattern selections, and Craftsy’s Crochet Blog. I hope you find something in the shop that you will enjoy, and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have a question!
