As with most of the talented Artists on this site, I have been creating items since early childhood. I learned many of my arts from my grandmother, aunts, and mother. I love to sew, work in the garden...any of those wonderful creative activities. I owned a Florist and Gift Shop for many years. I can't describe the joy I had in working with all those beautiful fresh flowers. Creating beautiful arrangements for weddings, birth of a baby or for the funeral of a loved one, was very personal to me. My shop was in a small town so I knew each of my customers well.. My current occupation is designing, creating, and selling handmade knit and crochet items. It is more than an occupation though. It is a passion. I especially love creating a heirloom item for babies. It is so much fun working with the Mothers, Grandmothers, and even occasionally a Father, to design just the right outfit for their new baby. While I have been designing my own items for a while, I have just started trying to put them into a pattern format for others to use. I hope to continue to add more patterns as time goes by. Thanks for stopping by!
