Segmented Vessel

This vessel is made from ash with a walnut accent band. I added oak rings top and bottom which were actually part of the waste block parted off. I drilled through the top oak disc with a forstner bit and then finished turning the top ring with a straight carbide hollowing tool. The finish is 4 coats of semi-gloss spray lacquer. The segments were cut using a segeasy sled and template which made tight joints. Very happy with the results and looking forward to many more with various designs. Thank you Jim for a great class with clear detailed explanations.
