Pooling Scarf

Project Description

What was your inspiration? I'm not really a scrappy scarf kind of girl, so I decided to see if I could make the yarn pool. So easy!

What you will need

  • For warp
  • Malabrigo Sock yarn in colorway Caribeno; for weft
  • Valley 8/2 Tencel in colorway Graphite.

Q&A with ProfKnitr

Wheatenbrat asked:
This is beautiful! I love the colors! Does the course teach you how to get the colors to pool like that? I just bought the course but haven't taken it yet.
ProfKnitr answered:
I'm so sorry for the delay in responding to your message! (Haven't had time to weave.) Thanks so much for your kind words. Please see my comment in this thread for how to pool. And for what it's worth, I'm sure there are better explanations on Ravelry.com, which is where I learned of this technique.
Jacki asked:
I'd also like to know how you warped to get the colors to pool! Your scarf is beautiful!

Loyalgatorfan asked:
This is absolutely gorgeous!
ProfKnitr answered:
Thank you so much! I gave it to my mother, who couldn't believe that it was possible to make such a thing. Behold the power of the mighty rigid heddle loom!
Ocean_Dunes asked:
Is there a secret to this? Do share! :)
