Tailored shirt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? that I finished it, LOL. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I hadn't sewn any garments in decades, but Pam's excellent instructions helped me create a good looking and comfortable tailored shirt.

What you will need

  • Cotton/poly blend

Q&A with Seri

Davesmom asked:
Your shirt looks like a great fit! Did you have to alter the pattern much? I have yet to make a shirt, I have this course.
Seri answered:
I compared the pattern pieces with a shirt I already own that fits -- adjusting for the built in seam allowance. I learned abut doing that from another Craftsy class, the jeans class. I only had to make a couple of small changes. Next time I will make the sleeves slightly shorter, but since I usually roll up my sleeves it is fine.
Pam Howard asked:
Hi, I'm so glad you decided to come back to garment sewing, It's like you never left :) Lovely fabric and such a great job and fit. Thanks so much for posting your picture, and I hope to see more shirts from you! Pam
Seri answered:
My results are much better now, thanks to your class. :-)
