Small Canvas Tote

I loved this pattern, easy to follow, I actually made two of them for gifts! I used home decor fabric for the main fabric, a tweed for the base and handles, cotton for the liner, and Deco bond to make it sturdy. I embroidered initials on the fabric and then cut it to pocket size, and followed the pattern from there. My friend loved it!

Q&A with czrose216392387

patricia2030785 asked:
If I want to enlarge this bag by 2 inches, will the seam allowances be the same? How do I calculate them? Thanks, Patricia
czrose216392387 answered:
Hi, I'm no expert, but I think if you were making it 2 inches taller, I would just cut that pattern piece 2 inches longer. You might lengthen the bottom panel piece also to keep the proportions, and stick with the 1/2 inch seam allowances. I hope that helps. :)
