Sew your own undies!

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo So Sew Easy - sew your own undies pattern Link to website or photo What are you most proud of? Its my first time producing a multi-size pattern. And I think I did a good job sewing with the stretch lace, which I expected to be difficult, but it wasn't at all. You can download the pattern pieces from my blog. There is a post which shows you how to make up the pattern into your size, and then a full photo step by step tutorial to show you have to sew them up. Its easy - even suitable for beginners. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Undies, underwear, unmentionables, pants, panties, knickers, bloomers, drawers, briefs, etc. Whatever you call them, we all need them and wear them but not many of us have ever tried to sew our own until NOW ! And Ive made a free pattern so you can all make your own to show off. Im pleased to say these are comfy, dont show under slim fitting clothes because there is no bulky seams at the top and leg, and have an official thumbs up approval from my husband. They are a hit.

What you will need

  • Stretch lace trim - 4 to 6 inches wide

Lori Kovac asked:
As a black lady, I am especially gifted in the back porch area. Will this pattern be suitable for me?
So Sew Easy answered:
You may need to make a change to the back curve of the pattern to allow some extra room, and make sure you use a deeper width of lace to allow for your extra curves. Try cutting a larger size, baste in place and try for fit. If your lace is super stretchy you might not need to make much of a change.
