Santa Sack

Project Description

What are you most proud of? How it turned out, especially the Christmas tree and I was able to use fabric from my stash. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This was made in a rush on Christmas Eve, so my advice would be start in time! However, it was worth all the rushing as Lily-Kate will have this every Christmas when she comes to visit Granny and Granda:)

What you will need

  • Christmas Fabric
  • Ribbon

Wonderful idea & your bag is so cute & happy. Well done. You have a very pretty grand-daughter. Thank you for sharing. :-)

Thanks Pam, she is the cutest ever... and I am not in the least bit biased;)
Pam NZ asked:
Well done Granny, bet you've got a whole santa sack full of ideas for Lily-Kate's next Christmas too, eh??? Very cute. :-)
desna answered:
Thanks Pam, indeed I do:) She was actually the reason I started quilting in the first place:)
patz in suffolk asked:
That's really cute! Such a lovely alternative to the boring old pillow-slip! Lily-Kate will look forward to using it for Father Christmas's visit year after year, just you wait and see! Children love "tradition" and something like this generates its own tradition, being something they will look forward to using.
desna answered:
Thanks Pat, I intend to have it full of toys each year, and God willing if I have more grandkids I will be making more:))))
Jennifer Thomas asked:
