Reversible Tote

What are you most proud of? The fact that I used material from my stash instead of buying more and that I went outside of my color comfort zone. Green is not usually my first choice. I normally pick either blues/purples or bright colors. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Follow the instructions in the order they are given. One note would be when sewing the exterior bag and interior bag together, make sure the handle are in between so when turning the bag right side out the handles come out where they are supposed to. Also, I used a tip given by someone else that added a comment: leave a 3" opening on the bottom seam of the lining. Sew bag exterior and interior together along the top edge all the way around. Use the small opening in lining to turn the bag the right way. I then hand stitched this opening shut. It's not a seam you'll see all the time since its on the bottom inside of the bag.

  • 100% cotton
  • all material came from my stash
  • didn't buy any new materials. I thought it was a nice stash buster.
