What are you most proud of? Actually finishing this project. Even though it is easy, it is far more "creative" and craftsy than I would normally work on. I am most proud of the button embellishment. I had the clay-like button and could not figure out how to attach it with only one center hole. Then, I added some ribbon from my stash and just played with various options. I found the string of wire beads at the fabric store when I was looking for something to "plug the hole" in the button. It just all came together at that point. I'm so proud of it, I'm actually using it! What advice would you give someone starting this project? This pattern is available on the DVD only, and there is a special phone number to use to purchase. Be aware that the purse will be thin. My hard credit card case will barely fit into this version, when the purse is latched close. The side gussets take up space when closing the purse. Use thin fabric. Mine was a bit too thick in the seam area - lining and bag take up space. Consider using a button/loop closure to allow for more space but note that the top will be open and stuff will fall out. Consider using a thick book - big binding. Consider a zipper closure - will allow more room and will keep the top wider, instead of the snap that actually closes the cover tightly together into a V shape, with point at the top near handles.
