Not So Big, Big Bag

What advice would you give someone starting this project? 1) I used fusible fleece hoping to make it not so plush, however it still turned out that way. 2) The direction do not suggest ironing the seams so I would do this. 3) If working with a fraying material you may want to finish the seams. This is not suggested but if you want durability I would definately recommend this. 4) If you are a beginner, use a print fabric and don't get hung up on the gathers....they won't show on a printed material. 5) A little disappointed that it didn't come with instructions on creating the closure you see in the photos. (or maybe I have an older version as I see a new one was added) 6) This bag would be a fun project to practice modifying patterns for beginners
