next level of dresden

Q&A with mzliz

Edna L asked:
Lovely and unusual design. Is the pattern available?
mzliz answered:
The name of the Acrylic Tool is "easy Dresden" by Darlene Zimmerman, I purchased it at Joanns Fabric and crafts. There are directions with the ruler but I found the directions on "U-tube" to be more clear. The last row on here had to make a dummy pattern out of card board, had to use the ole brain to add additional 4" and to get the shape correct.
Marie Flannery asked:
This is really cool! Does it have set-in seams?
mzliz answered:
All it is is 1/4 seams all the way around and putting one pattern on top of the other one for 3 layers
freckles asked:
This is beautiful. What is the diameter of this? I want to make one with a very large one in the center then maybe quarters on each corner for a bed.
mzliz answered:
hey freckles, sorry for the slow response, but had this tucked away and couldn't find it til now, this is 26 1/2" across
sjbulson288873 asked:
I want to know what you do on the back of dresden for the table??
mzliz answered:
Hi sjbulson, I made a circle the same size except for the points, and whipped stitched it to the back
