Project

My best shirt yet!

What are you most proud of? This is my best shirt yet; I've made four in this class, not including a wadder. The thing I like most about this shirt is the script monogram in matching thread I embroidered on the pocket. What advice would you give someone starting this project? The shirting fabric I used was tightly woven ... if I used regular pins and a universal needle, they left holes. I experimented with a scrap of fabric and found that a size 8 Microtex needle and dressmaker pins worked best. I was also careful to pin in seam allowances when I could.

Q&A with Ninetofive

lamoureux16364680 asked:
Congratulations! It looks so professional! The fabric and color are lovely too! :-) And thank you for the advice regarding the needle and pins. I was wondering which pattern you used (I particularly like the collar's width).
Ninetofive answered:
Thank you for your kind comments. The pattern is Kwik Sew 3555, which I believe is the one Pam works with in the class.
