Linda Lee Shirt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The mitered corners (thanks for those wonderful instructions). Also, that no one thinks this top was hand-make. And that I found the perfect buttons to really dress it up. What advice would you give someone starting this project? TAKE THE CLASS! Also, I would advice making a muslin first. I didn't and the shoulders are little too broad for me. To solve that issue, I made small shoulder pads to fill out the shoulders. Now it's perfect.

Q&A with Cheryl Lemmons

pcampbell asked:
stunning. I like the addition of the shoulder pads. Gives it a little more tailored look. Really nice!
Cheryl Lemmons answered:
Thank you, pcampbell. I hadn't actually planned to put the shoulder pads in. I made this before I knew enough about fitting to know that you fit the shoulders first and do a full bust adjustment if necessary. The fit still isn't perfect, but the pads do help.
Treecycler asked:
Looks great. Good job.
