kimono shoes - arabesque fabric

What are you most proud of? This made a nice recycling project for some leftover secondhand fabric. I really like the placement of the fabric pattern. What advice would you give someone starting this project? The 1/4" seam allowances are great for stash-busting and making the most of your fabric, but a bit of a pain to sew. The toes are rounded in the pattern, even though they look squared off in the designer's photos. Came together easily overall. After wearing several times, I'm now going to add some elastic to the heel; these slide off too easily (at least as I've sewn them; beefier interfacing probably would have helped.)
