Project

In progress The Sassy librarian blouse

What are you most proud of? That I did a Full Bust Adjustment ( FBA) for the first time and it worked. The understitching at the collar! It came out so nice. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make a muslin! This class do not include fitting issues. In the class with Susan Kahlje and in Gerties Bombshell dress you got a lot of advice how to make a muslin. In Gerties class you also learn all about how to print and put a PDF-pattern together. I think it was really difficult to make this blouse fit to my body. I almost gave up during the process. Finally I did some important changes: A Full Bust adjustment and I changed the darts at the waist both back and front. Christine was a a nice teacher and have a lot of smart tips on how to sew all details and answers questions fast and friendly. So follow her lessons step by step .

Hello, good morning, I loved your blouse. I can see at the last picture that you make adjustment, they learn how can do this because I'm new about sewing.
Eva testar answered:
Hello cacaumari. There is no lesson about fitting but Christine have a link in the class materials to a blog with instructions about how to make a full bust adjustments. I think Christines class is a great class for beginners. She is a very nice teacher and take everything step by step and gives a lot of good advices. you learn a lot about how to put all the fabric pattern pieces (sleeves, facing, interfacing, collar etcetera) together and make it into a blouse. You can use this method for other patterns to.
