Q&A with Loulewis

XENNIE asked:
Hi, looks lovely! Did you alter the pattern in any way? if so how? Did you make a toile? Please let me know!
Loulewis answered:
Hi Xennie I made my first one in a white cotton. It was my first pattern project and I didn't make a toile (these days I nearly always do) which meant making adjustments as i went along- not very practical! For this project I used what I learned from the first to make adjustments from the off. For example the back neckline was gaping a lot, so I pinched + pinned the amount I didn't want together whilst wearing it, then when it looked better I took the equivalent wedge out of my pattern piece , smoothed the edges for neat cutting and all was well. Trial and error! Have fun making yours!
