Fitted Dress

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Everything! I had to alter my dress form to make it usable, and then I added too much ease into it (by making my center front and side seam markings too wide, I assume), so I had to make some fitting adjustments. This class was a great learning experience! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just try it. ;)

fabulous. The dress came out wonderful. Thumbs up!!
Arouramc247388 answered:
Thanks you very much! I actually wore it out of the house earlier this week, since we are having a little heat wave, and I was so pleased with how perfect the ease of movement is, too!
Paul Gallo asked:
Congratulations you look fantastic! The fit and the color are totally working for you, way to go.......you will inspire people with this.

Thanks you so much! I am very happy with the final dress, and hope to use the pattern, especially the bodice, in many future projects. :) You are a wonderful instructor. Thank you for answering all my questions so promptly, and for the very clear and well done class!
Tina Loves2sew asked:
Very nice. Looks great! Did you use a dress form or did you drape on your body?
Arouramc247388 answered:
Thanks! I used a dress form. It is very old, from 1952 and took a lot of work to "make it work". I guess I should have added pictures of it on my altered dress form a s well.
