Q&A with Dutchsewing

FairieGodmother asked:
I'm duly impressed! Love the contrasting fabric on the inside of the yoke and collar! You did a fabulous job of matching stripes on the pocket! Tell us more!
Dutchsewing answered:
it is quite easy to match the stripes on the pocket. Cut your pocket after you finished the front of the shirt so that you can put your pattern on the right spot. Put markers on the pattern for the stripes and match it with your fabric.
Barbara_J asked:
Great work! I love how you paid attention to some details i.e. pocket, yoke abd cuff facing and how you notch the cuff, I used the placket like you did for your sleeve but I don't think it turned out very well.
Dutchsewing answered:
Hi Barbara, I used the pattern description to make these as the classic shirt course only covers the other ones. I used Pam's pocket trick (sew at 1 5/8 inch, fold and press) to get the clean lines for those plackets and it worked really well.
