Classic Tailored shirt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I started out making clothing for my daughter's equine activities. Some of the first attempts were pretty sorry but she wore them anyway. I am somewhat sewing impaired ( really. It's just starting to make sense) so it amazes me every time I make something, it can actually be worn. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Def take the class. I looked at this class for a long time before signing up. It has been more helpful than all of the books & DVD's I bought first. Pam's style is very clear and the camera angle is great.

What you will need

  • This isn't material I would have picked. Daughter did that for me.

KatherineBG asked:
Wow. That looks great! Your daughter is lucky to have a mom to make unique and flattering outfits for her!
countryridesagain answered:
Thanks! It's a good thing I have her for an outlet. But I get a few of them for myself. :)
Pam Howard asked:
Hi, Fabulous job on this shirt, and it fits her perfectly! She did a great job on fabric choice for her sport, and you did a great job making it. I'm glad that my class was helpful to you :-)) I'm sure that there are more shirts in your daughter's future! Thanks, Pam
countryridesagain answered:
I love making western shirts. I have so many books & dvd's to help but seriously, your class took all the mystery out . She can get away with the tiger look, not me. :D
Una in Oz asked:
Sewing impaired! I love it - but you no longer fit in this category, I think you have graduated!
countryridesagain answered:
:D Thank you!
Seri asked:
The fabric is great and she looks very happy with her shirt.
countryridesagain answered:
Thank you! The tiger material matches the bridle & breastcollar for her horse. Oh yeah, & and the sport boots. Have to be color coordinated y'know!
robin_renee asked:
This is absolutely adorable. I love the print.
countryridesagain answered:
Thank you Robin, no surprise her horse has matching tack. :D
