Aunt B's Apron

What are you most proud of? The fact that I didn't have a pattern, I was able to make it work even though I had no directions, and the fact that my sister called me SQUEALING about how much she loved it! :-) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Go for it! It's an apron, you can't really miss it up, now can ya? Use nontraditional fabric, make it as whimsy or structured as you wish. Everyone can use a new apron, right? Make the apron ties extra long so you can tie it in front of you. By feeding the neck tie piece through the top fabric which is folded down to make a casing, you can cinch or widen the top of the apron to the desired amount.
