Amber's Apron

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Butterick B4087 Link to website or photo butterick.mccall.com/search-pages-624.php?search_term=4087&submit.x=0&submit.y=0 What are you most proud of? That everything, including the pattern, was already in my sewing room. I just had to look around and see what would work. I find that to be one of the best parts, shopping the stash. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be aware that this apron is very fiddly. Much more involved than the 2 fleece hoodies I'm making for my younger girls. Also, I think the pattern markings (dots) are off. Make sure you are going to have 5/8 inch seams. left after attaching things. You'll know what I mean once you get into it. Don't trust those dots. ;-) That said, I absolutely enjoyed the heck out of sewing this. I like fiddly.

What you will need

  • Everything was from my stash
  • including the sparkly rick rack and turquoise bias tape. I even had the correct colors of thread.
