PATTERN DETAILS

This pattern includes PDF pattern files for both letter size paper and A4 paper. Step by step video and written photo instructions in English and German, making sewing more enjoyable and even a beginner can now sew like a professional. The video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JlGW8krN0M For this summer my sewing course ladies have asked me to do household items like bags, purses, peg bags and the like. So this is the second one to go out. Its just too cute and I take mine everywhere! You can make it in oilcloth or heavy weight linen/cotton mix fabrics. I tend to buy mine from upholstery outlets rather than fabric stores. They have beautiful selections and you will be spoiled for choice. Designed with both girls, mums and trendy teens in mind. With one interior pocket, and easy access pocket on the outside, this bag is as functional as it is fashionable, wherever life may take you. This is a beginners bag which requires just a little experience. All seams are straight and the techniques simple enough. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Well sewing straight would be a start :) SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 18 cm/ 7" in height 12 cm / 4.7" in width 23cm/9" in length

Recommended with this pattern

  • 20" of 54" (50cm) wide coordinating medium weight cotton for the lining
  • 28" of 54" (70cm) wide heavy weight home decor fabric or oilcloth for the exterior
  • 10" (30cm) slim elastic

Sewing has always been my hobby and my profession. I first trained as a tailor as a young girl after which I worked for some fabulous designers. To fit work around my son I became a teacher of Textiles and Product Design. When my son finished school and moved to the USA I decided to start my own business and do what I love best; draft patterns and teach beginners and advanced sewers how to make their projects look professional. I hope you enjoy my patterns and instruction. Now we followed our boy to the US and I get to sew in the beautiful Californian sunshine!
