PATTERN DETAILS

These adorable mini tote bags with appliqus are fun and easy to make! There are eight designs - a monkey, sheep, bear, giraffe, zebra, beetle, bumble bee and ladybug. Handles are made from 1" ribbon. All the critters have the same body/muzzle appliqu shape. Button antennae/horns plus fabric yo-yos are stitched onto the bags to create different critters. The appliqu designs can be reduced or enlarged to any size. Besides the tote bags, you can appliqu the designs on t-shirts, onesies, quilt blocks, bibs, etc. Instructions are given to sew a machine straight stitch around the appliqu designs. Another option would be to sew a machine satin stitch around the edges. If you don't have a sewing machine, you can embroider the blanket stitch by hand around the edges of the appliqu pieces. A diagram is included in the instructions to hand embroider French knots for eye dots. Instructions to make yo-yos are also included. THIS SEVEN PAGE PDF E-PATTERN INCLUDES: full size patterns for tote bag and appliqus, materials list, detailed instructions written in English and clear step-by-step photographs.
