I wanted a large bag that I could take projects in for traveling or use as a day or overnight bag. And I wanted a different shape for the overall bag than my other totes. Et Voila! Big Bag was born :). Big Bag is a fun-to-make and great-to-use bag that is big and roomie with plenty of pockets - twelve of them! The overall bag is zippered and has a tapered side-view. ** This is a 5 page sewing tutorial! I love to come up with a creative approach to a conventional need. My mother has been a great influence on me. She has always been very creative and resourceful. And she tells me that my great-grandmother was a terrific seamstress, too (which I do not claim to be!). In addition to my sewing patterns, I have designed unconventional lamps, window coverings, table accessories and wall hangings. My inspiration comes from pretty much everything around me. I left the corporate world in 2001. Although I have been creative in varying degrees ever since I can remember, now I get to be creative full time - a total dream come true. I live with my husband, a woodworker, and 2 dogs in beautiful, rural Chatham County, North Carolina.
