I designed this dress for a challenge I did on Project Run and Play! We used Katy Perry as our fashion icon and made a dress just like one she wears! In the course of designing and testing, we thought of many fun ways you could use the dress and included more applique 'faces' as well as a plain version and tips for upcycling! You will love this pattern because it's fast and simple if you need it to be, or you can make it as complex as you want by adding the special appliques and touches to truly make a one-of-a-kind dress for your little one! Let your imagination run free! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Sew both straight and curved seams SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS This pattern is sized from 1/2 to a 16. The dress is a loose garment with the hem fitting at the knee. There are options for a 3/4 sleeve or cap sleeve version. Also, included in the pattern are appliques for a panda, cat, tiger, monkey, or teddy bear.

Recommended with this pattern

  • Knit fabrics with at least a 25% stretch and fusible web for the appliqued version
