Pattern Details

If you love the De Stijl style of Piet Mondrian then you'll love this colorful tote. Whether you make it in fun summer colors or more conservative ones it will be an eye catcher wherever you go. This pattern was designed as a swim bag for myself with a faux leather exterior and waterproof vinyl for the lining, but I soon discovered that it also looks great in cottons. You can embroider on it or use fun fabrics, the possibilities are endless. Best of all, this is a quick sew since the "accent" between the colors is nylon webbing. The exterior has a hidden pocket and the interior has a zipper pocket and slip pockets. This PDF pattern has over 30 pages of instructions & pictures. The instructions are aimed at sewing with faux leather but I have also included tips for sewing with cotton. The pattern is downloadable immediately upon purchase. There are no refunds. I have classified this as an Intermediate pattern not due to the difficulty but more due to the size of the pieces. If you wish to try something new and fun..this patterns for you! As always...if you have any questions or problems you can reach me via email or on my Facebook group... Happy Sewing!! My name is Liz Schaffner. I am a Canadian living in Germany. I have been sewing longer then I can remember. Everything from curtains, clothes, teddybears, quilts & now bags. Guess you would say I am a "over 40 yrs of sewing experience beginner" ! I have always sewed! I can’t remember a time without a needle & thread. I always believed it is my mission to motivate others to sew and to create!! When I discovered faux leather I went bag crazy! It did not surprise my family when I started designing my own patterns, to motive others to try sewing with faux leather. My mission is to design patterns that are different, inspiring and fun to sew and filled with lots of pictures. If you would like to try something different, try one of my patterns maybe you’ll develop a love for faux leather too? Have no fear all my patterns are “ cotton” friendly also !! Happy Sewing !! Liz
